President Nana Akufo-Addo will on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, start his campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
He will campaign alongside Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and all NPP parliamentary candidates across the 276 constituencies.
Akufo-Addo will start his tour in the Upper East and Upper West Regions.
With approximately 65 days to the December 7, election, sources say the President is expected to tour all 16 regions.
On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the President will temporarily leave the country for official assignments in France and Germany.
Following his return, he will continue his regional campaign for the NPP’s 2024 ticket.
Meanwhile, Dr Bawumia and Dr Prempeh have been actively engaging in constituency-based campaigns over the past few months.
Dr Bawumia is currently in the Western Region, while Dr Prempeh is in the Ashanti Region.
