Nollywood actress Jumoke George has delivered a stern message to Nigerian women regarding the risks associated with Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgeries.
Her remarks come in the wake of a tragic incident where a woman lost her life during a failed procedure in Lagos.
In an Instagram post, Jumoke voiced her apprehension about the increasing popularity of cosmetic surgeries, especially BBL, and encouraged women to think twice before jeopardizing their health for the sake of beauty.
She raised a thought-provoking question about whether individuals pursuing these surgeries are expressing discontent with their natural appearance as designed by God.
Jumoke wrote, “Women, what is the colour of our problem? Because if I say I understand I am lying. The scripture says every creature was made in the image of God the most high… Are you telling God that He does not know what He was doing? God is perfect. What then are we looking for?”
Her remarks follow the recent arrest of Idara Bassey, a doctor based in Lagos, by the Lagos State Police Command, linked to the death of a 36-year-old woman named Abiola, who died during a BBL surgery.
This incident has ignited public outrage, prompting calls for more stringent regulations within the cosmetic surgery sector.
Jumoke also condemned this trend, cautioning that although God may bestow longevity, many individuals are jeopardizing their lives through perilous surgical procedures.
She wrote, “Women, what is the colour of our problem? Because if I say I understand I am lying. The scripture says every creature was made in the image of God the most high.”
“You females looking at me whose image do you think you were created? Are you telling God that He does not know what He was doing? God is perfect. What then are we looking for? God has given some long life but they intentionally cut off their lives
